Cancellation Under the Violence Against Women's Act

Roma Anonymous (not verified) | 7:09 PM CST, Sat February 01, 2025
Under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), certain foreign-born victims of domestic violence who are in U.S. removal (deportation) proceedings can apply in front of an immigration judge to remain in the United States with a green card.
The attorney argued that because his client was a victim of domestic abuse, she deserved consideration for cancellation under the violence against women's act.
