At-Risk

By Anonymous (not verified) | 7:09 PM CST, Sat February 01, 2025
A student is “at-risk” if the school is concerned that they may fail or drop out. A school may deem a student at-risk if he or she misses many classes. Or, a student may be at-risk if his or her behavior or quality of school assignments significantly deteriorates. Circumstances such as neglect, food insecurity or homelessness can place a child at-risk.
Many wonderful teachers are hard at work to help at-risk students to achieve educational success.
