Mano (Spanish loan term)

Tu'n Anonymous (not verified) | 7:09 PM CST, Sat February 01, 2025
A tool used in concert with the "metate" to grind maize kernels into a soft dough. With a similar function as a pestle, the "mano" is adopted as a Spanish word incorporated into English for this tool.
A well made mano can last many years. In fact, some are even passed down to children and grandchildren by inheritance. This is just one way in which generations are bound together.
